The scheme will facilitate talent matching between companies and skilled workers. With nearly 500 companies already registered and £1m investment this is a free tool available to anyone who can benefit.
The TRS can be used by companies looking for employees as well as individuals seeking positions; companies add the vacancies they have available while individuals add their skills set which can be matched to the relevant positions. Covering all aspects of the construction industry, the talent matching will be relevant for all roles from labourers to admin support.
How it works for companies
A company can list construction vacancies where they can be viewed by individuals only – no other companies can view your advertised roles. Upload your company information and details of the positions you have available, ensuring you include your logo for brand recognition. Your dashboard will then give suggestions on candidates for you to approach as well as expressions of interest you have received.
How it works for individuals
Anybody with experience in the construction industry can register for the TRS where you can detail the specifics of your employment history, qualifications held, security clearance and any professional membership. The register allows you to then stipulate the type of employment you are looking for so that any talent matching is as relevant as possible to both parties. You can choose to upload a CV or simply detail information on experience directly on the site.
Please note, the register will ask for gender, age and location which is used only to assist with data collection on the demographics of those impacted which will be used to highlight where further assistance is required.

With the TRS newly launched it continues to develop and user feedback is being welcomed so it can be improved to meet your needs. The Construction Leadership Council’s Talent Retention Scheme has been created to help the industry as a whole and will work best if everyone is aware of and using it.
