AJS Training Ltd – Business Update
On 12th March 2026, AJS Training Ltd officially became part of the Saferoad Group.
Saferoad is a leading European road safety provider, employing over 2,700 people across multiple countries. The group was formed in 2007 through the merger of Ørsta Group and Euroskilt Group, and has been owned by FSN Capital since 2018.
This acquisition recognises the strong reputation AJS Training has built within the UK—particularly our commitment to high-quality training, apprenticeships, and strict adherence to industry regulations. This due diligence gave Saferoad the confidence to bring AJS Training into the group.
Saferoad identified the need for an educational arm to complement its product offering and to help raise standards in safety and training across the markets it serves. AJS Training will play a key role in delivering this vision.
What this means going forward
- Expansion of training facilities:
Saferoad’s existing training centre near Scunthorpe is now part of AJS Training. This provides UK customers with access to a new northern facility, which is being developed to match the full offering of our Sussex centre, including NRSWA and EUSR training. - Stronger apprenticeship delivery:
We are expanding our team, bringing in additional trainers and administrative staff. A dedicated North and South structure will be introduced, led by Marianne Robinson, Apprenticeship Manager. - Broader industry support:
Our apprenticeship programmes will continue to expand into additional areas within the Highways and Construction sectors. - New projects in development:
We are currently working on several new initiatives aimed at supporting both the UK industry and the global market. Further details will be shared once these are operational.
Why this step was taken
AJS Training has grown rapidly in recent years. Joining Saferoad provides the corporate backing needed to support sustainable growth, ensure long-term stability, and reduce reliance on any single individual. Most importantly, it strengthens security and opportunity for our apprentices, staff, and partners.
Looking ahead
This new direction allows us to support customers—including industry bodies, authorities, and government departments—on a global scale. It’s an exciting step forward for the entire team, and we look forward to continuing to raise standards in training and safety across the sector.
