The AFI represents our members across the UK fencing industry, promoting safety, quality and professionalism. Members are kept up to date with industry news, technical information and business opportunities available within the association network.
Bringing fencing contractors, manufacturers, stockists and installers together we give strength to the industry to work together to resolve issues.
While you are busy putting fences up, selling or supervising them, the AFI can help you develop your business, reduce costs, improve quality and reputation – making sure you can keep your focus on your day job.
“AFI is not a badge that can be bought”
The AFI has a stringent entry criteria and members must meet and adhere to our professional Code of Practice. AFI members then are typically companies at the top of their game, not only meeting their statutory obligations, but going much further in providing the highest quality goods and services.
The AFI is a professional trade association serving the needs of our UK fencing industry, formed from the merging of the EFIA and FCA in 2017. We represent members interests on the British Standards Institute’s B/201 (Fencing Standards) committee, the National Highways Sectors Scheme committees and the FISS/CSCS committee. In addition it has strong links with other industry bodies and associations, e.g. Build UK, CHAS, ConstructionLine and CSCS.
