A Day of Excellence: The 2024 UK Fencing Awards

On the 17th of October, St James’ Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne, played host to the prestigious 2024 UK Fencing Awards—a day dedicated to celebrating the brilliance, diversity, and innovation of the fencing industry. With a record-breaking number of entries this year, the competition to secure a top-three finalist spot in each category was fierce. To be among the finalists, let alone the winners, is truly an outstanding accomplishment!

The day began with an energizing coffee and the chance to mingle and share the excitement before an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic stadium. Attendees were treated to a fascinating glimpse into its rich history and hidden gems.

As the morning unfolded, a sparkling champagne reception allowed everyone to raise a toast to the phenomenal achievements of all the finalists. Following this, guests enjoyed a delectable three-course lunch, during which we were entertained by the legendary Ray Parlour, who brought laughter and inspiration with his stories.

The highlight of the day, of course, was the presentation of the 2024 UK Fencing Awards, where the excellence of our industry truly shone. Each category showcased the incredible talent and hard work that make the UK fencing industry so diverse and vibrant.
