The AFI Management Board consists of elected representatives from member companies. All Board Members can offer advice to members based on their expertise.
Adam Binns, Chairman
Adam is the managing director of Binns Fencing and was born in to the industry, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather - starting as an installer before taking over at Binns Fencing.
Adam brings knowledge and experience to his role as Chairman.
Ian Ripley, CEO
Ian brings experience from his 40 year involvement in the fencing industry to offer support, guidance and representation for all members.
Ian's focus is on developing the industry to prevent a skills shortage and is always available to support members.
Cameron Glanvill, Vice Chair
As Managing Director of Pembury Fencing Ltd, Cameron has 30 years experience in the industry with extensive knowledge of issues contractors commonly face and is always happy to assist members so that shared experiences benefit all.
John is a qualified engineer who has been involved in the construction industry for 60 years, specialising in vehicle restraint systems and working on sector scheme committees aiming to reduce restrictive regulations.
Alan has nearly 30 years fencing industry experience, founding ABC Fencing in 2012 as a supplier to the commercial sector so can be relied on for advice on all fencing from security and HVM to timber and hoarding.
Dominique has worked in the fencing industry for 17 years, bringing valuable experience and advice to the AFI in Health & Safety, Sales & Marketing, compliance and training gained while working as PA to the Managing Director.
Chris, Managing Director of Harper Chalice Group, has 16 years commercial industry experience in security fencing and specialist detection solutions, bringing knowledge on delivering large scale security projects to the AFI board.
Director of Operation for Saferoad VRS, John has extensive knowledge and experience in vehicle restraint systems, noise barrier and general highway fencing having worked from installer to management.
Sally Green, Training Adviser
As AFI training consultant, Sally brings 30 years experience to give members impartial advice on sector schemes, training, qualifications, apprenticeships and FISS/CSCS. She will always be able to assist.
Gramm Barrier Systems Managing Director, Steve specialises in noise and air quality barriers and security fencing, Chairs the Environmental Noise Barrier Association, a committee member for BSI and works on sector schemes.
As Contracts Director for Metalwood Fencing, Mark has 26 years industry experience in manufacturing, supplying and installing fencing including security fencing.
