A successful AFI Workshop!

A successful AFI Workshop!

The AFI welcomed members and non members to the AFI Workshop 2020 at Wyoboston Lakes on 26th February. This was a chance to bring different categories of companies together to encourage members working together. As we have just added Revak cyber advice as a member benefit, Simon Newman explained how cyber attacks happen and why fencing companies might be vulnerable.

With cyber attacks increasing, Simon explained the importance of secure passwords, how to put the correct systems in place within companies and protecting your data. Revak can visit member companies to give a free cyber security consolation then work with you to make sure you are adequately protected. Cyber crime isn’t just about losing data but can see companies suffer financially.

The AFI job board is ready on the website so Jack and Harley from Quotatis were on hand to guide us through how this works. This lets members bid for fencing leads in their area, using the AFI badge as a mark of quality to customers.

Ian Ripley, AFI CEO, commented: “It was great to have such an informative presentation followed by plenty of time to catch up with members. The AFI is about promoting networking and events like this gives our member companies the chance to catch up.

We’re looking forward to building on this workshop to bring more events in different locations. Our plan this year is to build our membership to strengthen the association and how we assist our companies.”

We look forward to seeing more members and non members next time!
