Why the awards
McVeigh Parker, one of the UK’s premier stockists and specialists in the supply of fencing, landscaping and agricultural products, are delighted once again to sponsor the second AFI UK Fencing Industry Awards.
The Awards showcase the fencing business as a real profession with a long future, emphasising the exacting standards that those entering the trade can aspire to. By supporting the Awards we celebrate quality workmanship as well as raising our own company profile and our range of innovative products.
The AFI Awards help demonstrate the wide variety, high standards, premium products and quality erections needed to achieve such goals; this can only encourage the next generation to make it their vocation of choice. The Awards also endorse the quality of work achieved to a broader audience, which can only be a positive for the industry.
We have continued to support the category and award in order not only to raise our own company’s profile but also to raise the importance of quality workmanship and support the very many smaller businesses in the fencing sector. It gives them a real chance to be on the bigger stage and in the spotlight with some of the larger corporate giants.
Stuart Mills, sales director with 20 years experience at McVeigh Parker, will be helping to judge the Agricultural and equine Contractor category. Stuart is a very experienced and practical hands on sales person who is never shy in getting his hands dirty to demonstrate best practice. Before McVeigh he worked in construction and before that farming so has a wealth of knowledge from both sectors to give him the perfect overview to judge others work.
Stuart: “Having worked with and learnt from numerous fencing contractors over the past few years that have strived to push industry standards to a higher level, I believe the FIA awards give an excellent opportunity to these contractors to show the high quality of work they produce on a day to day basis, getting the recognition this deserves.”
