After the resounding success of the inaugural 2022 awards, the AFI has gone one step further for 2023, enhancing the categories to reflect the wide ranging excellence within our fencing industry.
For 2023 the revamped awards, the contractor categories are aligned with the different sectors of fencing so that similar projects are being judged against those working in the same field. Plus, with sponsors choosing to support the sector they work in we’ve got even more chance to spotlight the many different fencing installations across the country.
The contractor award categories are:
- Agricultural and equine – sponsored by McVeigh Parker
- Domestic – sponsored by Birkdale
- Security – sponsored by Zaun
- Sports and education – sponsored by CLD Fencing Systems
- Highways and railways – sponsored by Saferoad
- Industrial – sponsored by IAE
- Temporary and hoarding – sponsored by Blok N Mesh
- Gates and barriers – sponsored by DHF
The popular Project of the Year award will remain as a separate category, open to all and we’re delighted to have AJS Training sponsor this.
Entries will open from 1st April 2023 on the AFI website. We’re inviting all fencing contractors across the UK to enter their best installations from the past 12 months, as long as they have been completed in full. With such a broad range of categories, contractors who work across multiple sectors can enter more than once as long as they’re submitting different projects giving an even greater chance of winning.
Pete Clark, AFI CEO, commented “We listened to the feedback and have really boosted the 2023 awards, bringing in categories specific to sectors. We’re delighted with the continued industry support, welcoming back existing sponsors and new supporters who will give even more support to an event focussed on promoting the excellent work of the fencing industry.”
Save the date for Thursday 5th October 2023 for the awards presentation day. We’ll be releasing exciting details of our venue soon!
