British Standards PAS 2000 Construction products – Bringing safe products to market.

As the AFI represent the industry on British Standards we would like to bring to your attention the above review and consultation on Draft PAS 2000, Construction products – Bringing safe products to market – Code of practice.

This PAS provides recommendations for the due diligence to be carried out on construction products before they are placed on the market for use in buildings and other constructed assets.

This PAS covers pre-market risk assessment, assessment processes, factory production control processes, provision of product information and collection and use of market feedback.

It does not cover the process for undertaking third-party assurance and certification of construction products.

This PAS is of use to construction product manufacturers, importers, distributors and other economic operators.

This PAS is also relevant to construction product designers, building designers, contractors and sub-contractors, building owners, clients, procurers and accountable persons.

If you would like any comments to be raised from a fencing perspective please circulate to the relevant person within your organisation and send any comments you wish raised back to the AFI for the attention of Pete Clark – info@theafi.co.uk

You will need to be logged in to your members account to view the document – Please see draft pdf here

All comments have to be back on the morning of 7th September

Urgent Survey for General FISS CSCS Card Holders

This survey is only wanting information on FISS-CSCS and CSCS card usage in fencing to discover usage and breaches of H&S on site.

No individual data will be used and all replies are anonymous unless you would like the results of the survey.

All data collected of a personal nature is to authenticate that this is from real industry participants, hence the company name and email are the only required verification.

Please Do Not answer the questions if you use FISS-CSCS cards for VRS rather than General Fencing.
